Theme: Gender equality in the coastal and maritime sector
Event details: Through the WINBLUE project, Malta-based entities are being invited to participate in the co-creation process of a Gender Equality Plan model that can be utilised by organisations operating in the coastal and maritime tourism sector. Gender Equality Plans seek to understand the issues that an organisation faces in integrating gender equality and gender mainstreaming practices, and propose practical solutions and quantifiable measures that organisations can implement. In this workshop, we will first ensure that participants get a background working understanding of Gender Equality and Gender Equality Plans. However, the aim is to hear from you, the stakeholders within the sectors. What gender-based problems do you see in your sector? What can be done by organisations operating in tourism? The workshop is designed to share experiences and knowledge that will feed into the co-creation of a Gender Equality Plan template that can be adapted by any entity in the sector.
